Better to have a seperate keyboard because the mappings get confusing on the desktop

Interested in this. Does it lag at all? I'm a pretty intense user of excel, where even a little lag is annoying. Does it lag? Do you have problems with macros or opening up different folders?
Given that professionally I live in excel, I want to make sure that I can do most of the things I need to do.
