Finance FO- bouncing back from failure?

For those of you with years of experience in finance FO (ibd, pe, etc), can you share your experience bouncing from failure? Being fired, ranked bottom bracket, thought of as the dumb one in the group/being disliked, etc. (let’s not include things outside of your hand such as Lehman on this one)... let’s say you truly sucked, how did you bounce back in the world of finance FO? Would love to hear your experiences!
