Financial Modeling Certificates

I tried to find the answer to this, but was curious about people's thoughts. I am several years out of undergrad with an accounting and corporate strategy background. I tried to break in to private equity and made it to the last 4 candidates out of 100. While I was proud about that, it was obviously a bummer. One area that I wanted to improve on was my financial modeling and just my general understanding of private equity. I found some courses that could help. Some of them issue you a certificate and some dont.

My question is whether it makes sense to take a course where I could earn a certificate and therefore add it to my resume/Linkedin or whether that doesnt matter at all and I should just take the best course.
