Flight Time for Superday

Have a superday in Midtown Manhattan. Was given a few flight times, the earliest set to arrive 6 hours before (very early in the morning) and the latest 3 hours before. Is there any reason I wouldn't just choose the latest time given I won't have anywhere to stay (no hotel) other than a nearby library?
