FP&A role in PE Firm vrs PE role in small-cap PE firm
Curious to know what people think about choosing an MBA summer role between and FP&A role in a RE PE firm (single-family residential unit) and a small-cap PE firm in CT. Candidate is a CPA and plans to pivot to IB/PE. Aim is to get a foot in the door. Don't know if there are any such success stories.

Would suggest aiming from either investment or asset magement team over FP&A if possible... If FP&A is the only option, then I think it can be a route in so long as you get very familiar with the modelling etc.
