From BO to Buyside

Hi Everyone,

Quick background on myself. Mid 20s, went to a non-target. First gig out of school I was working in a MO role at a BB because I didn't know what I wanted to do (friends were in banking, family is not in finance). I decided to pursue banking, networked like crazy and somehow landed 2 offers at MM and Boutique firms for an IB analyst role. Now two years later I'm still at the boutique IB firm and looking to make another jump. Rumor on the street is that OCR is starting up soon and realized I'm probably not the target demo (still sent a note to a few recruiters) I've been working on LBO case studies in my free time. Our group focuses in TMT, so I'd like to work in GE/PE Tech space. Any advise would be appreciated.
