Are they legit? I’m a couple years out of my analyst days so not completely familiar with the recruiting landscape these days but came across their name in a couple places. Worth the time to stay in touch vs. the big guys at HSP, CPI, etc.?

Very legit - they have large PE funds like TPG as well as hedge funds like Elliott.
Highest praises for them as a past candidate.
My impression is that they likely have lower volume of candidates but maintain high quality. They were likely the only HH I worked with that invested in and understood my interests and set up several coffee chats with a much warmer approach.
They definitely have good clients. I wouldn't expect the experience with them to be drastically different though....after all, they are all ex CPI, SG, HSP, so same faces, just different brand.

Can confirm very prestige-heavy. Back when I was recruiting (out of a mid-tier BB) I was getting very solid looks from the other recruiters (CPI, HSP, Ratio), GCSP was a different story

Came from non-target, mid-tier bank – had a great experience with them and did not find them to be prestige-driven but rather detailed in terms of understanding your experience. Super communicative of expectations based on the interviewer (e.g., types of questions) and timing of next steps.
