Golden Gate Capital and Notre Dame?
I'm interviewing with them. Was looking at their analysts, why are all of them from Notre Dame? I've heard the rumor that their endowment is invested in Golden Gate but I'm not about to ask.
Must have had success with someone there and started a referral pipeline. Some of the UMM/MM PE firms don’t even run resume drops, they only take referrals from colleagues in endowment offices or past employees/interns.
Yes, their endowment is invested and I believe they essentially have a handshake deal with the Notre Dame endowment director to create a pipeline for analysts. Generally speaking the Notre Dame endowment has some strong connections for kids that intern there during undergrad and get referred by the director.
