Green Key Resources

Haven’t seen any posts about these recruiters so I want to share my experiences with them so no one will make the same mistake I did.

Was originally approached by Green Key regarding a role with one of the PE megafunds. It was what I was looking for so I hopped on the phone with the recruiter to learn more and passed along my resume. About 2 weeks went by and the recruiter asks for my availability for an interview. (Pretty typical experience up until this point). So I provide it and this is where  things go off the rails.

First, the interviews scheduled did not align with my provided availability. Secondly, I was scheduled to interview with a REIT not the fund initially shared. Third, I was sent 6 separate video call links for 2 interviews. I called the recruiter to figure out what happened and it took them a minute to remember who I was. They said they thought I consented to this role (which didn’t happen).

I decided to not make a fuss and ghost the recruiter (not the REIT I still interviewed with them). Over the span of another 2 weeks I am further applied to roles without my knowledge and the recruiter starts aggressively texting me for my availability around 10pm - midnight and 5 - 6am.

Now, (about a month later) I found out the recruiter bad mouthed me and said I flaked to the companies they tried to schedule interviews without my consent. I blocked their number and LinkedIn, not sure what else to do.

tldr: stay away, they are worse than Selby Jennings
