Can anyone provide some feedback here?
The group's not changed much over the years, they FOMO'ed and overpaid for a lot of things in the last fund so it's doing poorly and not in the carry. Struggling to raise the current fund. Have perpetually had leadership issues.
do you mind elaborating on what you mean leadership issues? how are they from a culture perspective
Weird/intense culture. Worship of the founder type stuff. High staffing levels given size of the fund.
do you know their hard cap/target for the fund they are raising?
They aren't raising a flagship right now. They were trying to raise follow-on for the previous fund, but even when they cut terms to no fee/carry they weren't getting any traction from LPs. The CV for the asset carrying the last fund did really well though.
Not sure about performance but when I interviewed with them (2 years ago) seemed very mediocre
