How do you track your career progression and success?

Performance in finance seems to be quite qualitative in nature, so how do you track your performance and growth? Is there a framework or KPIs you set for yourself? Would appreciate all opinions, from aspiring prospects to senior HOF on the platform (it's interesting to see the difference between different stages of a career)

For each deal / project, I've always found it helpful to outline in bullet points what I was involved in.  Over time, you should see the descriptions of what you worked on as part of the deal team evolve over time and begin to look more like the tasks you'd be responsible for in the next level up.  It's not the most quantitative approach but some things are hard to think about in pure numbers.

This time of outline coincidentally also ends up becoming helpful for when you need to update your resume in the future or for interview purposes when you need to talk about what you did for each deal.
