How important is past internships for on-cycle PE recruiting?

If you are a FT banker recruiting for PE, how important are your prior internships you did as a student? I am a student now signed for SA 2023 but I have some F50 corp dev internships for this summer and fall. Would it be worth it to go thru with those internships even though I've already signed for next summer? Assuming I want to recruit for PE after I start FT at a bank
