How to break into Infrastructure IB ? Firms, technicals, networking...

Hello,

Like the title says, I am trying to set myself as a serious candidate for Infrastructure IB or Infrastructure PE. I've had somewhat of an experience with Infrastructure, but just in valuation and a little bit of modeling because I was in a team that was cross-sector in valuation and portfolio oversight, but I don't know the specifics about it.

I am particularily interested in Infrastructure in Emerging Markets (Africa more specifically), what are the biggest funds that are hiring interns either in Paris, Brussels, London, UAE (or anywhere in the world willing to sponsor a Moroccan student in Paris)

And for people in the sector, what would you wait from an intern in your team ? What type of technical skills should I construct to ace the interviews, is there any ressources for it ?

Thank you all !
