How to Go About Possibly Reneging

I accepted my FT analyst offer at a BB, and a week later was invited to interview at a MF PE firm that I would 100% choose over my BB offer. (I applied to the PE firm during my internship, so before I had even received an offer)

I was thinking of disclosing this situation to the PE interviewer, but want advice on whether that would be dumb. I figured that honesty is the best policy, since I wouldn't want this PE firm to pull their hypothetical offer if they found out through the BB that I reneged. However, if the PE firm decides that they don't want to keep me in the recruiting process after learning that I've accepted a different offer, I worry that they might go to the BB and try to get them to rescind my offer or something

Any thoughts or advice are appreciated. Many thanks

Unless you have a MF PE offer in hand, theres no decision to be made.

When you do have the offer in hand, accept the MF PE offer, its a no brainer. I’m guessing you’re still in UG, so once you accept the PE offer, let the bank know you’ve had some unforeseen circumstances come up and in fact wont be joining them. Don’t blabber to the others from your summer internship.
