Does anyone have any color Huntsman Gay? I thought they'd always had a good reputation (since their inception in 2007 anyway) but it seems like there have been some senior departures recently and they also postponed plans to raise their second and third funds for a couple years. Any information is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Steve Young is a managing director there and helped found it. Worked with a guy this summer who had done a few years there and seemed to have a good experience. Also it is run by a lot of Mormons (BYU and Utes)- take that however you may.

I started to feel this way about two months ago.
It's a solid shop. I know and have worked with a good number of the junior and senior level guys. Harvard, Stanford, Booth and Wharton have all extended acceptance letters to multiple of their associates. The management change is true and the firm is working through that. I think they'll start raising a second fund within a year and a half. And Black Jack is correct - about 1/3 of the firm is Mormon.
