Look into existing portcos of the funds of interest and understand rationale on some of them / pick some favorites to do deeper digging on. Start thinking about any of the funds sub verticals that interest you and do some brief industry related research to understand how the underlying tech actually works, and then look into investing/PE specific trends / research for that vertical. Try to gain an understanding of how the approach to modeling / valuation could differ for a tech company, understand kpis / metrics relevant to tech co's, etc. Articles / reports like the one linked are helpful if you control f for software, technology, etc to understand trends and multiples.
