Bain and TPG are comparable with their groups. A friend of mine worked at an impact VC and their firm took a higher management fee % than industry benchmark because despite the demand, there are not too many good impact investors (this translates to pretty good comp)

Have a friend who worked previously at TPG Rise - same pay as the main buyout & growth fund.
Associates aren't recruited directly into Rise, correct? Don't they source associates from the Growth fund?
Technically that's correct, but as a growth associate, you can choose to "major" in Rise similar to how you can major in any of the other verticals for TPG Growth.
