Infra investment?
Infra PE analyst here. Struggling to find infra investment opportunities beyond traditional ones (utilities, roads, towers, etc.). I think some are looking at social infra such as data centers and medical suppliers.
Grateful if anyone could share some insight into what areas in infra excite you nowadays.
Infra investing seems to really be blooming. A number of investments pretty much look like PE buyout. How does your fund think about healthcare? Seeing some infra players arguing long term secular trends make this worthy of low cap rate valuations.
Thanks! Been looking at some healthcare opportunities like in pathology, but still internally debating whether that’s infra or more PE and hence some headwind around.
Do you see any area less PE-alike?
From my perspective, traditional infrastructure players are less hands on. So anytime an operating asset requires infrastructure investors to roll up their sleeves I wonder if that asset is suitable.
