Yeah they've been recruiting for infra PE assoc/sr assoc seats forever and don't seem to have hired anyone. Gotta be a culture and/or performance thing (said with no direct insight, but it's definitely not a shortage of dry power that's keeping people away).
They went quite big with data centers, marked them up significantly and then the cancellations came in. Just one driver of returns but other aspects too (lack of DPI etc) and some serious culture issues
Pretty hot take when they just paid out $1.2bn of carry (per BX earnings call) to a team of like 50 IPs

Your usual HH names will cover the mega funds. That being said, Madison Hunt, One Search, and Tenfold are all good. Prefer these boutique HHs since they’re pretty well aligned and high touch.
In the most recent cycle, heard KKR and EQT infra used Gold Coast. SG for Blackstone
Metis Search (smaller, more presence in London) was doing a NYC Assoc search for Stonepeak recently. Haven't heard about who the others were using.
