Intern advice-Bain Capital Credit exit opportunites

I'm mentoring an intern at our fund this summer who is going to Bain Capital Credit next summer. We've been discussing post-undergrad jobs, and I know nothing about what the exit opportunities from BCC are, assuming that he got a full time analyst offer. Can anyone help me with the following questions so I can better mentor our intern?

  • Can you exit to traditional PE, GE, VC, etc. from BCC? If so, how frequently does that happen?

  • How would you compare BCC to IB and MBB?

  • If you're in credit, what would you have liked to know about career opportunities?

  • For my own edification, what is the day-to-day at BCC?

  • How do credit funds work?

Appreciate any insight you have!

BCC is one of the best places to be. I doubt he’ll have a problem moving around to PE, IB, HF, but why would he? BCC IS an exit.

Solid pay, great benefits, carry, relatively good WLB.

Also has the legacy name reputation and send Aso to MBAs at Harvard
