Internship at MF PE w/o conversion or BB with high probability of FT conversion

Hi all,

Currently struggling the decision either to intern at MF PE or middle tier BB with a high chance of getting FT
I'm close to graduation and the uncertainty of keep searching after the internship is what I would like to avoid but several people in the industry suggested the PE due to reputation and would open a lot of opportunities after.

I think only you can answer this question. I’m assuming the MF is KKR/Advent which do not convert - you mentioned you’re coming close to graduation, are you prepared to do a masters and re-recruit or apply for off-cycles? If you’re done and just want a job I would take the BB, if you’re prepared for another recruitment cycle then take the name strength of the MF.

Take the MF PE. I did a similar internship which didn’t convert but got a call back a couple years later for a FT role. The connections you build are very important also think about the selectivity in terms of how many PE interns there will globally vs BB.
