Interviewing at Sunstone Partners
I am considering interviewing with Sunstone Partners, so far I have received negative feedback from ex-employees and some current employees. interested to know if anyone has heard positive things about the firm? The location is convenient for me.
What other validation do you need?? You have current and former employees giving you negative feedback, that should tell you everything.
They have been interviewing for that '24 Associate seat for what seems to be over a year. Have heard they take a hard look at absolutely every CIM that comes their way, so you'd get a lot of experience in services underwriting.
My roommate left the firm a few months ago. While the culture is slowly improving, it still feels like a boys’ club. Female employees are often treated unfairly and face barriers to advancement over petty issues, while their male counterparts are promoted despite more serious shortcomings. If you know how to navigate the internal politics—and you’re not a woman—you can still thrive there
Has anyone interviewed with Sunstone Partners lately?
They’re interviewing a ton. Have heard they’re struggling to hire associates

bump
Have only heard negative things on culture from prior and current associates. Tough place to work with 3 year program.
Losing people left and right at the junior level and having trouble hiring replacements. Life will be brutal there for a while
Biased but highly recommend avoiding Sunstone after my experience interviewing with them
