Interviewing for a very small/boutique investment/PE firm...
After applying to a ton of consulting/analyst positions, mostly in biotech/healthcare/life sciences as those are the fields I am interested in, I somehow got a reply from a boutique investment/PE firm (maybe less than 2 years old, with 2-5 people total, including the founders).
I have extensive biomedical research experience (the field of which is in line with the type of companies that the firm invests in) but have ZERO experience in finance/business.
This is for an analyst position where I will be performing due diligence, gathering info, writing memos etc.
How should I prepare for this interview? Any books/crash courses on Econ 101?
Also, should I offer to do an internship instead? and also what are the advantages/disadvantages of working at such a small firm?
