Investing in LATAM?

Have had a few sizeable tech deals in LATAM brought forward by a banker. Solid businesses (good scale & growth, sticky customers, proven products) and long-term I'm bullish on the region as a whole given the rapid adoption of fintech, but I know there's just a lot more to worry about in these geos vs sticking to the US/EU.

With what's happening in the forex markets I'm not particularly bullish in the short-term on any deals where the company cash flows are denominated in weaker currencies like the real or peso. Plus there's always a political risk discount to apply. What are some other major risks that I should be considering given the uncertain economic environment we're moving into currently?

Does anyone here have direct experience investing in LATAM that can share some insight?

Really? No one?

Feeling even less good about Forex with what's happening with the pound and euro.
