Is the GMAT necessary for PE recruiting?

Went to a target school with a finance degree but my SAT/ACT scores are complete garbage (I transferred). Graduated with a 3.76 and have a decent job at a FIG shop right now. I want to recruit when the next wave comes around, but doing all this GMAT studying on TTP is making me wonder if it's actually worth it. It seems necessary if my SAT/ACT are really that bad (they are), so I'm just checking to make sure I'm not wasting my time.

Currently projected to be completely done with the course by September, but I'm gonna try to push it to July or August.

Do you start full time this year? Wouldn’t you complete the course after you start full time and by then oncycle would prob be finished

Not necessary in the slightest. No one really cares about your SAT/ACT either (except for a few weird funds that may ask).

"I'm going to make him an offer he can't refuse."

I ask because it seemed like all the headhunters were requesting information about it. I may go forward and do it anyway (sunk costs, plus it could only be a benefit if I score well enough), but it's interesting to see that no one really cares.

My logic was that since I'm kind of at a Whatever Regional Boutique, I may need the extra boost.

What about if I’ve already studied 4-5 months (learned and got all the concepts down) so far and want to continue studying in IB to get an optimal score? (Working on weaknesses) and timing
