Is the grass ever greener on the other side?

I've been feeling like I'm not good at the job...but like karate kid, there after a couple months, I'll realize how much I've learned and get super excited to see the improvement.

However, when I see the passion of partners at the firm, I'm not sure if I'll ever quite get there with investing. I don't dislike it, I just feel detached to certain investment industries...Does anyone else feel this way? I've tried to looking into different jobs but it's seems pretty hard to find something that pays just as much with a PE associate's skill set.
