Is there a viable path to PE from Corp Development (Tech)?

Would someone doing corp development at a tech firm ($100-$150mn in ARR, startup) have a shot at moving over to PE?

My personal reason to move to PE = I see a lot of companies in tech getting crazy multiples but without a legit path to IPO. I feel like there will be lots of opportunities in tech for PE to come in, rationalize costs and very easily drive EBITDA margins to 30-40% (even higher in SaaS). Though without much transactional experience, I wasnt sure what value am I bringing to the table? and if PE will even consider someone in their 30s with corp dev experience?
