JPM is one of the hush hush places...
Networked with MD from JPM. He said most analysts have to sneak out/keep it secret that they are recruiting for PE. Although most MDs know that this is exactly what they are doing during the recruiting season, they don't say anything. However, if they found concrete evidence that you are PE recruiting, you'll def be penalized.
JPM is generally not ok with it.
Morgan Stanley, Barclays, some groups at Credit Suisse seem to be the chillest in my experience.
