Keeping track of notes & learnings
I've been working in PE / investing for 5+ years and while I've benefitted from the reps and from the cumulative learnings (both from working prior deals and tracking industry developments), I know I have plenty of room to optimize this process. I'm curious how you all go about organizing your learnings from what you've worked so that you're better able to leverage those learnings going forward. Kind of a strange question but curious to hear your thoughts.
If you can make it a habit, Roam Research will be your second brain
Interesting app but feel like its too much for jotting down notes and learnings. Might be just me.
Hence my "if" statement - it's like learning how to play hockey - the good part comes after many many hours of learning to skate well, kind of like learning how to use the roam research UI here. But once you get there it's great
how long you been using it and what you been using it for?
I use it for personal learning outside of work (research on areas of interest). I have been using it about a year. It effectively feels like a Wikipedia layout of interconnected pages for everything I've learned over the last year.
