Lateral PE process timeline
Recently completed a data cuts type of model test for a lateral associate position (1-year of PE experience and 3 years of banking) and it's been nearly a month since I've heard back from the fund. This was through one of the major headhunters. Had one phone call before the model test and headhunter mentioned it would be another phone call as a round 2 interview after the model test.
Has anyone else experienced a holding pattern between rounds when doing a lateral pe process?
Yup. When I lateraled, my processes ran the gamut from "instant superday" after a coffee chat to "17 rounds across three months" (and then being ghosted).
