Lateraling as PE associate
How difficult is it to lateral to another pe shop if you are currently an associate? Would appreciate any ancedotal stories and or tips

This isn't my personal experience - I'm currently a first year PE associate. But from what I've heard over the years is that it is hard to go to an established shop and your best chances will be smaller / newer funds. Moving down market makes it a bit easier. Up market seems close to impossible without a good connect / referral.
