LMM groups within larger platforms?

Seems like there’s this trend today where a lot of large platforms are raising a LMM arm and then organizes a team dedicated to the LMM fund.

Curious how one should think about these opportunities — will your exit ops, comp, etc, be similar to the platform you’re at / will you get the branding of the platform for all intents and purposes? Or are you basically a second class citizen and should think of it as less of working at the large platform and think of your comp set being more like a Mainsail or some rando $500M-$1B fund ?
