Offer 1: Direct investment team in a large pension fund.
Offer 2: Portfolio mgmt team in a UMM/MF PE house.
Long term goal is PE investing.Thinking offer 1 is better for this? Unless switching teams at the MF is doable.
Would appreciate any insights.Background is big 4 ACA, making first move from practice.
Offer 1 is a no brainer here. It is unrealistic to think that in the eyes of that UMM/MF portfolio management role will help you develop skills for investing role.
