I cover TMT in London (from IB, not buy-side) and I love my sector. As the passion grew, I actually found myself learning things like software development as a hobby. Some clients love when there is a banker in the room who actually understands the operational side of the business being sold / acquired.
I am keen to meet up with like-minded people who cover TMT to discuss perspectives on sub-sectors etc
