Looking for Roommate in Miami (Summer 2024)
What is up everyone - been on WSO for a while now. Currently a 2nd year analyst (23 years old) at a MM IB shop and moving to a UMM PE role in Miami starting August 2024 (I would start the Miami lease in July 2024).
Looking to live in a 2bd 2ba in Brickell and budget is pretty flexible. As of now I do not have many personal connections in Miami, so if anyone here is on a similar moving schedule and needs a roommate, let me know as I am looking for one too! Ideally, would love to room with another working professional (not necessarily IB / PE) aged 22 - 27ish but am flexible on that too! Open to more than one roommate too, assuming we all get our own bedroom / bathroom!
Also if anyone here currently lives in Miami - let me know if there are any specific apartments in Brickell that are better than others. Know it can sometimes be a crapshoot with maintenance, etc. Also - what would be the best way to go about actually getting a place to rent (i.e. Zillow, etc.)?
Overall, I am super excited to be living in Miami!
congrats on the offer & role. i tell people 1 thing about Miami is the office a place where people are 24/7 or is it just where the partners work from in the winter... that does matter for your professional growth. also enjoy the Colombian bam bam

Awesome, my recommendation is the Coconut Grove area. Away enough form the ABSURD nightlife, but close enough to get after it
Oh sweet - have heard great things about Coconut Grove + I bet it is cheaper than Brickell. Will look into it!!
