Career Resources
For me, it’s $120k base, $80k bonus, small bit of carry, levered co-investing. Very LCOL city.
How do the hours look. Think WFH flexibility is possible or will you need to be office 5 days?
Will preface that I’m joining in 2023, but interned there in college so am very familiar with what it is actually like. I would say that juniors typically work ~55 hours a week, with some weeks being pretty light and others pretty intense. In terms of WFH, it’s more of a get your shit done culture than show face. I found most juniors to WFH 1-2 days a week, and during holidays (or dealing with personal matters) this was way more liberal. Also, most people go home by 6-7 to eat dinners with their families, and then will log back in after for a bit.
Can vary but generally speaking 175-250 all in is the range, with 100-140 of that being base salary.
Comp in my offer with a MM firm lines up with above. Starting summer 2022. Base is $110k, 75-100% bonus (minimum is 75% and then it is higher depending on performance), no carry, but have co-invest options. Also in a LCOL city.
How are the hours looking?
Don't start until summer 2022 so I can't tell you exactly yet, but from what I have heard from friends at the firm, hours are way better than at most MM/UMM funds. Obviously varies depending on dealflow and time of year.
