LS Power Group
Anybody have any more information on this group? How they recruit ? Where they recruit? Website is really bare but they are listed on the PEI 300 with $6B under management.
If LS Power Group is the same as LS Power, then it is a IPP, assets are the Power Plants. The analysts work in a development capacity, targeting RFP's and bilateral contracts. There are structuring and trading groups.

Any information on career opportunities? Recruiting Cycles? I think I fit there mold a bit, Electrical Power Engineer, with RTO/ISO experience, working for a large EPC company at the moment; with generation and transmission experience.
Well, I don't think they recruit large analyst classes similar to the banks. They usually hire depending on need. If your goal is to learn more about the valuation & financing of energy & power assets, try looking at the large public diversified utilities, IPP's and development shops. They will list the available positions online, as opposed to the Energy PE's that will use headhunters. Also check the shops doing transmissions and cable deals, the ISO/RTO experience will be viable.
