MBA for Post Associate Roles in PE
Hey everyone,
I am a current incoming intern in IBD and have been researching "The Path" 2 years IB + 2 years PE + 2 years MBA finance path that the herd seems to glorify. My question is regarding the MBA. In recent years, it has become increasingly unimportant in terms of career ceiling. If I can avoid the $1 million investment and 200 hours of GMAT study I would like to.
How many PE shops require an MBA after a 2 year associate stint? Which PE shops hire IB analysts for long term? Appreciate the help!
