Mega-Fund PE: Advice to Succeed & Fast-Track Progression?

Hi all,

I’m about to start in mega-fund private equity and would really value advice from those who’ve built successful careers at MF platforms.

For VPs, Principals, Partners (or equivalent):
1. What should juniors focus on in their first 12–24 months to truly stand out at a mega-fund?
2. What mistakes do you most often see new PE hires make that slow progression?
3. What behaviours or habits actually drive trust and fast career advancement at MF PE?
4. Looking back, what would you do differently in your first year?
