MF PE Offer Rescinded?

Was fortunate enough to receive a MF PE Offer on-cycle this year.

However, given the current economic conditions and layoffs we've been seeing, I have been (possibly irrationally) worrying that my offer could get rescinded.

Has anyone ever heard of MF PE funds pulling their offers? Either for macro reasons or anything else.

I’m an undergrad so take this with a grain of salt—but PE revenue is much more stable than banks. While some is tied to performance, there are also management fees. I’m sure you have nothing to worry about.

Pretty unlikely. PE is on such a long returns cycle, and stable fee base, making them much less sensitive to market movements. Yeah, the dealmaking market isn't awesome right now, but MFs know how to perform in different environments and they will be fine. Teams are also very lean, even at a MF I imagine even pulling 1 spot is a big % of their class. Terrible PR too - if they pull offers they will shoot themselves in the foot for future recruiting, better off skimming some underperforming VP/Ds instead. Your start is also so far away, you cost them absolutely nothing for the next year and a half. I really would not worry about it
