Mid-Market TMT

Hi guys,

I will be working at a PE shop that mainly focuses on mid-market TMT companies. How can I best prepare myself to be familiar with this industry? Moreover, how can I prepare myself for the PE internship in this industry? Ill have a few weeks to prep as much as I can. Aside from absolutely crushing excel and ppw, is there anything else? I want to be staffed on more important work if the opportunity presents itself and would like to perform as best as possible.

Read the industry rags for TMT acquisitions and general business.

Make this a routine and do it every morning.

Don't just read the headlines, read the articles.

If you are focused on a specific niche of TMT, find the publicly traded companies that are comparable and read their investment presentations.
