Mithril Capital?

Hi Everyone,

Has anybody recruited for Mithril Capital? I'm done with summer recruiting, but I'm curious to learn more about them. I do know their basic investment focus and have read all the relevant news articles on them, but I'm wondering if anybody has had any kind of interaction with them?

Ahh Mithril, yes, it was a metal mined by dwarves in the mountains of Moria. His chainmail made of Mithril (passed down by Bilbo who obtained it in his own adventures) saved Frodo's life when a cave troll stabbed him in Balin's tomb after the fellowship of the ring came under attack attempting to pass through the mines of Moria on their way to destroy the ring.

Wait. Are you saying this is a firm named after an imaginary metal mined by dwarves for its incredible strength in the Lord of the Rings books?

All we need to do is show a little class, a little sophistication, and we’re in like a dirty shirt.

I've heard only of Mithril Capital Management but how can people desecrate J.R.R. Tolkien my favorite author. I don't understand!

Peter Thiel, the guy who founded both orgs (Mithril and Palantir), is a huge fan.

What a badass name. I guess the limited partners call themselves "the fellowship of mithril" and features a wise endowment fund, an irascible insurance company, a commercial bank returning from FED-backed exil and a defiant public pension fund...
