MM PE with good hours
Is it possible to find a MM PE associate seat with good (60ish) hours and 200k+ comp? If so, how does one go about finding these opportunities?

It's so random that it's really hard to generalize. It can even vary by team within the same firm, e.g. the healthcare associate has a cushy 50 hour/week job while the guy two cubes over doing industrials regularly works 90+. Only thing I can say is you're more likely to have a better lifestyle at a lower MM firm in a non-NYC city but it's just impossible to predict.
Thanks for the response. Is there any way to get a feel for it beforehand? Talking to former associates perhaps?
