Saw that Gemspring announced today that they raised $1.1B for their second growth strategy fund. Anyone know how their flagship III is doing / are they fundraising for flagship IV?
This is inaccurate. I’ve heard it is mostly deployed and will be fully invested this year which would be 3-4 years since inception. They’ve also continued to have successful exits across funds so I would guess fund 4 is another increase from 3 although likely not the same doubling trajectory they’ve had in the last few rounds.

Wouldn’t expect fund IV any time soon. They’re wayyyy behind on fund III
Would be curious about any additional context you have? Is the fund doing poorly or just slow deployment?

Can we do a little research first and then come back. Ridgemont literally just raised a new fund
