Nautic Partners
Does anyone have any experience / insight with Nautic Partners? Looks like strong returns (hence BX investment) and recent fund size hitting $3bn. Are they better in any particular industry / any general commentary?

Career Resources
Cannot provide too much other than to say that I’ve had some business school classmates that work / have worked there and never seemed to have a problem. I’ve been to their offices and met with their folks (deal collaboration) and didn’t have any negative observations. Worth exploring for sure.
Lol came here looking for some insight as I will be working there soon
Very strong in healthcare (only context I've interacted with them). Providence is a bit of a miss, though...
Returns look top notch and from my experience it sounds like they have a reputation as smart investors esp in HC… I think blackstone GP would only invest in the top performing funds (GTCR and Great Hill being two others they invested in). Providence being only office is odd, not sure what Boston commute would be like
I think Providence is a decent spot, but I'm not an East Coast guy. The shop is very strong in HC and business services. Known to pay up in processes, they are certainly more on the organic/de novo growth vs. acquisition from my perspective. Doesn't mean they won't do add-ons, but they aren't a pure "buy and build" shop and seem to bolster management teams with significant talent.
Nah, Providence is a very dry city. Not even comparing it to NYC or anything, there's just not a lot going on there. There's decent beaches and nature but that's all outside.
Few of my friends took a spontaneous day trip to Providence in college and we decided to never go back lol.
I guess you haven't been to the strip clubs there. Anything goes.
Office is in providence but all the associates live in Boston and commute
Bump - any more insight on them? Are they running any associate processes rn?
Location is kinda random but Providence is 45 minutes from Boston. I think healthcare put them on the map but they've since built out services and industrials groups. Really good track record (as you pointed out, there's a reason why BX invested in them). Team is hilariously white but I am not sure what else you'd expect from a PE fund in Rhode Island lmao
Wasp galore
We are LPs in their recent funds and I have co-invested with them in one of their deals. Solid 3-4x gross MOIC on their funds and UQ ranking for their vintages. Can't speak to the associate culture, but my interactions with their mid/junior staff (from an LP perspective) have been very positive. Comments above are valid - I imagine it's a pretty white shoe, homogenous (but very nice / collegial) place to work, with the downside of being located in Providence (but Amtrak is a quick ride from Boston).
Have you worked with all of their teams or one in particular?
Only with one of the MDs in their healthcare team. Their industrials and services verticals are relatively newer strategies, but they have modeled them after their healthcare practice, with sub-sector specialization such as chemicals, manufacturing, and industrial distribution (for industrials) and managed IT + outsourced legal services (for services).
Any insight on culture?
Bump
How would you view an offer there vs. other comparably sized funds? Does their track record and culture (maybe?) make up for the location and commute?
Well found some of the track record data after going through a different thread

Wondering same as above. Seem to have better performance than most funds and are growing, but is Boston / commute worth it?
How would you compare them to other similar funds in the Boston area? Parthenon, Charlesbank, Webster, Abry
Anyone else have experience working with them?
Bump, looks like they’re hiring now
