Need advice for on-cycle

I have a pretty free schedule the next few weeks before starting FT in mid July at an RX shop.

Did not know on cycle would begin this early and have done 0 prep and 0 communication with any headhunters. I barely even know how on-cycle works except for a few WSO posts about it.

Should I just go crazy working on technicals in next 48 hours and get myself into shape and try on cycle recruiting or wait until next year?

Trying to land a distressed PE fund. Thank you for the help.

You’re screwed. Let this be an early lesson in life to ALWAYS be prepared. Luck is when preparation meets opportunity

Didn’t even know this was a thing until a day ago… I didn’t have a mentor or anyone above me to explain the process. What are my options now? Can I prep like crazy for the next 48 hours and reach out to headhunters or just wait ?

Wait for when ? Fall, winter? Or next year? Also when should I start reaching out to HHs

Start reaching out once on-cycle is over. Headhunters will show you opportunities throughout your analyst years. Some funds may start interviews in 2 weeks, some in a year.
