Networking for a PE job instead of doing on-cycle?
I don't come from a cookie-cutter star background and my bank doesn't have the best brand name.
While I am thinking about lateraling, I'm already Analyst 2 and it will be a long road ahead if I do lateral -> PE.
Anybody having experience with networking for PE jobs? Like not-crappy MM/LMM funds.
