Hell na that ain’t normal, usually even ‘excited to have you xxx’ from HR at least. IDK not a big deal either tbh and I’m not sure if anyone can really comment on normal- however, on boarding and stuff usually happens closer to start date I think. My experience I got ‘excited blah blah blah’ email right after and talk about on boarding and stuff in upcoming weeks/months or whatever the time difference was and yeah.
