They were engaged for VP seats at SVP Global, HPS Distressed, and Sixth Street Fundamental Strategies.

Thank you! Are you working in the restructuring space at a bank or are you working in a distressed PE fund? If yes to either one of the two questions, what do you like about that space? I am not in restructuring so it is hard to convince myself it is a good space. I am more interested in Tech and TMT.

Restructuring is a very difficult space to make money. It attracts alot of assholes and is super granular.
I'm a former lawyer, so restructuring and distressed is a natural fit for my skillset as there is quite a bit of legal driven analysis. I like the negotiating and structuring involved, but the comp ceiling is a ton lower and the lifestyle isn't the best.

Thank you! I just got the email back from the HH and they are looking to place the seats in Healthcare, but I suppose a Healthcare focused fund can also focus on distressed companies.
