Trying to get a realistic read on where I stand for off-cycle PE. Second-year healthcare coverage analyst at a BB/MM targeting MM funds.
Background:
- Experience: 1 live sell-side M&A deal, a major IPO, and a couple of major bake-offs/pitches.
- Timeline: Looking to exit in a year at the end of my second year.
- The worry: Honestly feeling a bit light on live M&A deal count compared to some peers who claim 3+ live deals.
Do I stand a chance at even getting an interview? Appreciate any candid perspective.
